In the social zone within the community area there is plenty of room for spontaneous interactions. Here, visitors receive a warm welcome and employees meet their colleagues or customers, catch up in person and exchange ideas. This zone therefore promotes connection between employees and with the organisation.

At the Rijksontmoetingskantoor, hybrid working is also an indispensable part of the revitalising working environment. Employees are now working more from home and, at the same time, the need for spaces to meet in the office is growing. Therefore, the social zone has acquired an important function; this is the place for connecting with each other and with the organisation.
