Verspieren
Verspieren moved into a new location to Saint Denis near Paris. In close cooperation with architect CBRE Design & Project, Ahrend furnished a flexible and colourful office that breaks with the tradition of office design. For the client, the new office feels comme à la maison – like home.
Flexibility and co-working
For five generations, family firm Verspieren has been active as an insurance broker in France. The move to the iconic Curve building in Saint Denis was the perfect opportunity for a completely new office layout. Verspieren said goodbye to fixed workstations and opted for a mix of flexible workstations, consultation areas and co-working spaces.
Warm and familiair
The flexibility that Verspieren was looking for in office furnishing was new to them. The company was looking for a partner they could fully rely on. Ahrend was convincingly first in the tender issued by VerspierenN. Subsequently, the team of Ahrend led by Cécile Monfermé developed a fully elaborated plan in two weeks. In consultation with the architect, the team chose a mix of materials that provide a warm and familiar atmosphere.
‘Ahrend's bid exceeded that of the other tenderers on all fronts.’
Broad product portfolio
The preparatory work of the architect was leading for Ahrend in the product choices. Account manager Cécile Monfermé: "Our strength is that we can offer a very broad product portfolio. Together with our design team, we have selected a coherent and economically viable range of products. The whole fits seamlessly into the look and feel of the building, which features a lot of wood. That's why we chose the ROOT desk and the conference table TEAM which both have a wooden top and leg. As a standard office chair, we chose the comfortable and ergonomic ZINN Smart and Well chairs for the meeting aeras. Together with the leisure furniture supplied by La Redoute, the office has been given exactly the desired warm, colourful look.
Verspieren on Ahrend
'Our first contact with Ahrend was in 2019, during a trade fair. We had a click, perhaps because like Verspieren, Ahrend is a family business with the same long-term philosophy. When we decided to move in 2020, we invited Ahrend to bid on the tender. We went from a traditional office to a flex office. For us this was a leap of faith. Ahrend's offer exceeded that of the other bidders on all fronts. It gave us so much confidence! That is the office we want to work in, we thought when we saw the proposals of Ahrend. After approval, Cécile and her colleagues have completed the entire plan in just two weeks under great time pressure. All the furniture was delivered on time and installed in two weeks’ time'.
