Revolt by HAY
The Revolt chair is the embodiment of Friso Kramer's minimalist style, and it is one of his best known designs. Made from curved sheet steel, rather than the traditional, tubular frame, it was revolutionary in 1953. For the 2020 relaunch, Hay and Ahrend have given the Revolt a makeover. The comfortable chair now has a contemporary look and a more sustainable character, while retaining all of its functionality and timeless aesthetic.

Sustainability
The Revolt chair derives its sustainability profile from the materials used. The seat and back are a mix of recycled, post-consumer and new ABS plastics. Optimum use is made of the sheet steel for the frame, keeping waste to an absolute minimum in production.
Optimum comfort
The Revolt is ergonomically designed to bend with the user, and it provides active support when eating, working or seated at conferences. For that reason, the dynamic and flexible chair is particularly suitable for use in the home, the office and public spaces.
Personalised style
The seat and back of the chair are available in nine colours. The powder-coated frame is offered in a choice of three colours, allowing a wide range of colour combinations. As such, the Revolt chair can be made to match the look and feel of every environment.
