Last Wednesday 25 October, the official relaunch of the Result Chair and Pyramid Collection took place. After almost 60 years, the well-known Dutch design by Friso Kramer and Wim Rietveld has been relaunched by the Danish design brand HAY together with Ahrend. In line with the revaluation of Dutch design, the launch took place in the recently renovated National Monument 'De Ploeg' in Bergeijk. For this official launch, all doors of the Monument were exclusively opened for the guests of HAY and Ahrend.

Special guest
Arnold Struik, Marketing & Innovation Director at Ahrend, opened the event with a warm welcome to a very special guest; Friso Kramer. ‘When I started working for Ahrend three years ago, I had the honor to be invited by Friso Kramer who shared his expertise with me. This is definitely one of  my most special and inspiring moments at Ahrend, "said Struik.

Rolf Hay
Co-founder of HAY, Rolf Hay, took the visitors along the path of the relaunch. "The original Result Chair has been my personal favorite for years. The industrial character and refinement of Friso Kramer's design makes this chair exceptional. The only downside was that the seat was no longer in production and that it was not yet a HAY product, "says Hay with a wink. "Fortunately, we have now changed this together with Ahrend! At HAY, we believe that design should be functional, accessible and payable for everyone. This industrial design perfectly fits our philosophy.”

Extraordinary location: National Monument ‘De Ploeg’
Originally built by Gerrit Rietveld for the Dutch textile company ‘De Ploeg’ in 1958. Nowadays under the patronage of the new owner, BRUNS exhibition developers. A skillful renovation carried out by Diederendirrix architects was followed by a bold renewal of the interior by Aart van Asseldonk. Architects Paul Diederen and Rob Meurders guided the guests through this impressive transformation. Guests were also able to visit the Rietveld RE-NEWED exhibition.
