Qabin Collection
The Qabin Collection can be used to create separate spaces in an open working environment. Each box is a self-contained workspace, in which one or more employees can isolate themselves comfortably from the environment - to make video calls, collaborate with colleagues or just concentrate on their work. Without disturbing colleagues or being disturbed yourself.

Vital and comfortable working
When you step into a Qabin you get an immediate sense of peace and quiet. The climate inside the box is pleasant, both in terms of acoustics and temperature, allowing you to work inside for longer periods.
Qabin encourages an active working posture, as you can choose between sitting and standing up to work. This keeps your body moving. This makes the boxes ergonomic workspaces that promote vital and comfortable working.

Four variants
The Qabin collection consists of four models:
- Qabin Call for one person and ideal for (video) calls.
- Qabin Chat for focused work, collaboration and (online) meetings for one or two people.
- Qabin Meet for collaboration and (online) meetings for up to four people.
- Qabin Meet XL, the larger version of Qabin Meet, for up to six people.

Unique ventilation system
Our years of experience in developing space-in-space solutions have led to an innovative ventilation system that ensures an optimum interior climate. We have developed a system that draws air in from the bottom of the box and upwards via the walls, thanks to ventilators in the ceiling. The incoming air is always cooler, which provides a natural and cooling airflow. Spaces are warmed up by their users and electrical equipment like laptops. This ‘natural air conditioning’ means that the interior space maintains a good temperature.

Privacy
Anyone who looks for an Ahrend Qabin to work in a focused manner or make undisturbed calls not only wants peace, but also privacy. To create an extra feeling of privacy, we offer a number of comfortable and attractive options. You can choose from:
- Privacy glass that you can turn on and off as desired.
- Wooden slats, available in natural and black stained oak.
- Stickers; create your own design.
- Net curtains; for a homely feeling.
Materials
The interior of the Qabin Collection has upholstered wall panels; you can choose from three different colours. The ceiling is finished in dark grey recycled PET felt. The floor is covered with dark grey, recyclable carpet. These materials provide acoustic damping.The exteriors of the boxes are finished with a textured coating: six colours are available. All the details are finished in the same colour to ensure a smooth overall look.
The Ahrend Qabin Call and Chat can be fitted with a fabric cover on the outside that provides a soft, homely appearance. The cover comes in various fabrics. By combining fabrics and colours, you can create a box to suit your surroundings.

About the design
Marck Haans' ambition when designing the Qabin Collection was to create a product that combines design, functionality and circularity. The product is designed to have a timeless character. The at first glance sleek design is finished in every detail. The materials have been chosen so that the design can be used in different environments. Moreover, the collection is modular. A lot of thinking went into this. Exactly the challenge Marck takes up again and again during the design process.
Behind the scenes
This video introduces you to our Product Development Teams in the Netherlands and China. They are responsible for developing new products and optimising existing ones. Using the circular design strategy as a starting point, they also continuously work on making our products more sustainable. They also ensure that they meet safety and ergonomic standards.

The Red Dot Award is an internationally leading award for product design and innovation.
The Qabin Collection convinced the jury members by its thoughtful design and was awarded a Red Dot Award Product Design 2022.
