Designer Kees de Boer
One chair for the entire study time
With a lifespan of up to 30 years, the Gispen WIZZ is a sustainable choice for the entire study path. Students can rely on it throughout their studies. The chair is lightweight, practical to use and easy to move thanks to the integrated handle. Moreover, the chair is fully modular, making parts easy to replace.
Ergonomic and comfortable
Comfort and freedom of movement are central to the Gispen WIZZ. The chair supports different sitting positions and body types. The springy backrest, S-shaped seat shell and lumbar support ensure a healthy sitting posture – even when students sit down, sideways or even backwards. The seat is shaped for optimal pressure distribution and prevents pinching of the thighs.
‘The Gispen WIZZ has been designed with ergonomics and comfort in mind. The springy backrest allows you to sit upright, relaxed and even the other way around.’
A suitable version for every space and activity
The Gispen WIZZ is designed for maximum flexibility. In addition to the standard student chair, there are variants with wheels, high models for standing tables, a chair with an integrated writing board and visitor chairs. In this way, there is a suitable version with the same recognizable appearance for every teaching space and activity.
Endless combinations
Thanks to the modular design, the wide choice of frames and the different colours for seat shell and frame, you can put together the Gispen WIZZ completely according to your wishes. Choose from six seat shell colours, from subdued anthracite to pronounced late summer red, or opt for a wooden seat shell in light oak or birch. Combine with one of the many paint colors for the frame, from classic black to coral red or powder green. This way you create a chair that fits both functionally and visually with your learning environment.

Durability
The Gispen WIZZ is the first educational chair with a plastic seat shell made of 100% post-consumer recycled content (PCR), such as recycled fruit crates. All colors, including the light ones, are made entirely of this material. The material makes the chair lightweight, without sacrificing strength. With these properties, it contributes to the reduction ofCO2 emissions. To keep the ecological footprint as small as possible, the chair is produced entirely in the Netherlands, including by colleagues with a vulnerable labor market position. In this way, the Gispen WIZZ contributes to a circular economy and social sustainability.
