Ahrend Remode wins Red Dot Design Award 2025 for outstanding product design

Amsterdam, 9 July 2025 – The Ahrend Remode, designed by Ben van Berkel (UNS) for Royal Ahrend, has been awarded a Red Dot Award for Product Design. The prize was presented on 8 July during Designers’ Night at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany.

The Ahrend Remode is a next-generation office chair that uniquely combines design, comfort and sustainability. The chair is fully modular, making parts easy to replace or reuse. It is made from recycled and recyclable materials, including plastic sourced from the ocean.

The Ahrend Remode is now on display at the ‘Design on Stage’ exhibition in the Red Dot Design Museum, where all the 2025 award-winning designs are being showcased.
