More circularity, less waste
Did you know that 90% of unused furniture in Europe is either incinerated or sent to landfill?* A massive waste of valuable materials – and it means new products are being manufactured unnecessarily. By reusing existing furniture and materials, we can cut CO₂ emissions by up to 40% annually.
Furniture as a Service (FaaS) gives companies a flexible, sustainable way to furnish workplaces without ownership. Instead of upfront investment, you pay for use and can scale furniture needs anytime. Returned items are refurbished and reused, ensuring high-quality furniture while reducing CO₂ and waste.
Always up-to-date workspaces
Full service maintenance
We visit our clients every two years to check your products functionally and aesthetics. In the meantime, what if something breaks? You can easily register a service request via the QR code on the product sticker. We will then be able to repair this free of charge, because the warranty applies during the full term of your contract.
Financial flexibility
Furniture as a Service is a subscription in the form of an operational lease. Which means Ahrend remains the owner of the furniture and you only pay for the period you use the product. So you keep your working capital available for your core activity and never pay too much because you only pay what you are using.
How does Furniture as a Service work?
‘We have worked with Ahrend for a long time. We are already leasing about 50% of our office furniture.’
Who is FaaS for?
FaaS is for every organisation. Whether you're a start-up or a fast-growing scale-up, a public or semi-public organisation, a multinational aiming to scale internationally, or a company with ambitious sustainability targets, FaaS offers a smart, future-ready solution for all.
The future of furniture in practice
Wageningen University and Research (WUR) aims to halve the use of raw materials by 2030 compared to 2014 , among other things by using products more intelligently. The strategic accommodation plan revolves around setting up working environments on campus as flexibly as possible. FAAS helps them to implement this flexibility in practice.
