In the headquarters of Pure Water Netherlands (PWN) several offices have been consolidated into one new head office. Designed in the 1980s, the building required a complete renovation due to its inefficient design.
Originally there were three offices. By a smarter design PWN now has more than enough space with one head office
By merging multiple offices into one location in Velserbroek, there was an urgent need for a new working environment where flexibility, sustainability, Activity Based Working (ABW) and transparency were key elements.
The interior design is based on ABW. The focus has been on working location-independent and on informal meeting areas. Isolated departments now belong to the past, thanks to the spatial layout with open communication maximising the use of every available space combined with innovative and colourful materials. The transformation of the entire project was implemented in three phases to maintain the continuity of the project and allowed PWN employees to continue their work.
