Ahrend has successfully collaborated in the phased renovation of the UniCredit Bank HQ, part of the leading European group UniCredit. As the approved supplier of freestanding and fitted furniture, we enhanced the workspace for 1,300 employees across ten floors, following the bank its smart office concept. "The new way of working fully meets the current situation and the requirements of our employees, encouraging open communication and fostering teamwork at our bank," stated Petr Plocek, Director of Identity & Communication at UniCredit Bank.
Modern office environment
UniCredit Bank, a leading retail bank located in Prague’s BB Centrum, aimed to upgrade their headquarters to better accommodate the needs of their clients and employees. The goal was to transform the traditional office layout into a more flexible and open environment.
Smart-Office concept
Ahrend delivered furniture according to the a smart-office concept, replacing fixed workstations with open spaces and various areas tailored to specific activities. This included brainstorming rooms, phone booths and a Flexi Room for stand-up meetings, all designed to promote a versatile and dynamic work environment.
Homely atmosphere
The renovation features bespoke furnishings, such as oak-veneered cladding, built-in counters and personal lockers. The Business Lounge, furnished as a spacious living room, serves as the central hub of the office, creating a homely and collaborative atmosphere for employees.
Natural materials
The predominant material used across the new UniCredit Bank offices is oak-veneered wood. This is found on the timber cladding, built-in counters, meeting rooms and personal lockers, which is fully in line with the corporate clean desk policy. A convenient system of access cards allows one card to open everything from the building’s entrance to personal lockers.
