OMRT
The relocation of the scale-up OMRT to a completely renovated office required a new flexible design, focused on growth. Keywords for this assignment: lease, circularity, refurbishing, reuse, ergonomics and high quality. Ahrend Design Studio made a design with distinct colours. 'The design and furnishing process was very pleasant: quick on the ball and thinking along well. We asked Ahrend to go wild. The colourful result is appreciated: our employees are coming to the office more and more often. That was also reason for the dynamic, playful design and collaboration with Ahrend.'
More sustainable development of real estate
OMRT helps real estate developers work faster, more efficiently and more sustainably by bringing together powerful tools such as parametric design, building physics and financial analysis in one platform. This allows you to make better, faster, informed decisions, while saving time and costs. The goal of OMRT is to streamline the development process, reduce design time and at the same time realize sustainable solutions.
Quirky interior design
OMRT's choice for Ahrend was prompted by the high ergonomic and aesthetic quality of the furniture. In addition, OMRT wanted a distinctive interior design that takes expansion into account. Simone Twelkemeijer, Ahrend account manager: 'Ahrend Design Studio has designed a design plan that is characterised by different colour zones: in addition to the corporate identity colours, bright yellow and bright blue have also been used. The design was created in close consultation between OMRT and our interior designer. The result is unique and quirky. The layout invites employees to come to the office more often, and that is what happens.'
‘'The vitalising work environment and sit-stand combinations provide more movement'’
Sustainable and circular
In addition to quality, sustainability and circularity were important reasons for choosing Ahrend. OMRT wanted to use their own used workstations in the new office again. Simone: 'We also called in our Circular Hub. For example, we reupholstered the screens in the colors of the interior design. Refurbished furniture has been used for the meeting and scrum rooms: Arper chairs have been reupholstered. The refurbished furniture fits in well with the new, circularly designed and produced Ahrend Remode office chairs and Ahrend Modea workstations. These Modea workplaces can be cleverly combined with each other. You can create countless setups and easily convert the duo workstations into solo workstations.
Furniture as a Service
Finally, the possibility of leasing the entire equipment was of decisive importance to OMRT. With Ahrend Furniture as a Service, the scale-up maintains a positive cash flow and expansion and change are never a problem.
Simone looks back on a pleasant collaboration: 'It is very nice to work with people who know what they want, appreciate quality and dare to distinguish themselves. The result is a beautiful design office in which it is pleasant to work and stay. I think it's very cool that a scale-up that is making such a name for itself chooses its own and distinctive identity, in their work, collaboration, corporate identity and interior.'
OMRT about Ahrend
'In seven years we grew from two to sixty people and we were in seven different offices, never standard, always quirky. When moving to a corporate office building, we wanted a working environment that differs from the average office design. We asked Ahrend to go wild and they did! The distinct colours of our corporate identity and on the (customer) portals are reflected on the office floor.
The process of design and furnishing was pleasant: quick on the ball and good thinking. For example, we wanted to bring our own furniture. Ahrend's Circular Hub has responded to this, always with an eye for quality, aesthetics and ergonomics. The vitalizing work environment and sit-stand combinations provide more movement. Our employees also appreciate that: they come to the office more often. And that was also a reason for the dynamic, playful design and collaboration with Ahrend.'
