TECHO interiors is going to deliver the new design concept for ŠKODA AUTO showrooms across the globe

TECHO a.s., producer and supplier of office furniture and interiors, is one of just three preferred suppliers of interior furnishings for ŠKODA showrooms, and is therefore contributing to the international modernization of ŠKODA AUTO showrooms as part of a new marketing presentation of their cars.

TECHO was selected from over 90 companies during a multi-round tender process that lasted almost a year. On the European scale this is one of the largest projects for office furniture producers and has a potential in the order of several billion crowns. During 2015 thousands of ŠKODA showrooms across the world should be transformed.

“Winning this order is highly significant as from our perspective it is one of the most extensive projects, with deliveries across the globe, that TECHO has ever worked on. I am aware that this will be a very demanding project, but we will be able to apply our hard won experience and supply our quality products. This is why ŠKODA AUTO selected us,” says Jiří Kejval, Managing Director TECHO and Board Member of Royal Ahrend.

Up to the end of 2013 TECHO has furnished showrooms in 10 countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Great Britain, France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Austria, Poland and Israel). At the current time deliveries are under negotiation to the United Arab Emirates, Russia and Ukraine. Next year TECHO anticipates a major increase in the number of orders due to the fact that in 2014 ŠKODA AUTO plans to modernize a large part of its sales network. 

“In the coming two years TECHO must demonstrate its competitiveness alongside a further two preferred suppliers. It is down to us how we perform and whether we win over new clients with the potential to place additional orders in the future,” says Kejval.

The project was won in close collaboration with parent company Royal Ahrend. Utilizing the combined production facilities and distribution network with experienced local teams enables negotiations to take place with the individual ŠKODA AUTO sales outlets (franchise holders) in each country. The sales outlets appreciate communication in their native language so that their requirements can quickly and accurately be met. They also appreciate the guarantee of an international standard of quality regarding service and products of both TECHO and Royal Ahrend. 

The objective of the new showroom concept is to create a representative and unmistakable environment that will give a younger and more dynamic impression. The modernization concerns not only the furniture and seating, but also the external and internal signage, new flooring and lighting. TECHO uses design elements that are exceptionally flexible and can be adapted to the individual needs of each showroom. The basic colours are an elegant white and a refreshing green, which are complemented by a warm natural wood decor, Šumava, produced just for this project.
