Flagship showroom at a high-profile location
Eugène Sterken, CEO of Royal Ahrend, said that he is extremely pleased to be able to announce the move to this extraordinary location. “For Ahrend this move marks a giant step forward in terms of facilities, location and opportunities for hospitality. The “White Point” building, designed by HOK architects, fits in perfectly with Ahrend’s design DNA. The “White Point” is situated at a high-profile location next to highway A9 and can be easily reached from anywhere in the Netherlands and from Schiphol. In short, this building has all the ingredients required to create a contemporary Ahrend Flagship showroom with international allure.”
Smart use of an existing office building
Making the move to this distinctive building was the end result of a well-considered choice. Ahrend investigated various options, including a new building or renovating the existing location, before making the decision. The solution the company finally settled on, is the most sustainable one, with the advantage that smart use can be made of an existing office block.
Transformation into the workspace of the future
Together with Kraaijvanger, Ahrend will transform the office space into a contemporary and inspiring Flagship showroom with the focus on an activity-related approach to work. Dutch design, ergonomics and sustainability will be highlighted by the interior design and the furnishings. Aside from the Ahrend series, complementary products from major partners will also be exhibited, as well as audio-visual, lighting and acoustics solutions. What this boils down to is that Ahrend’s new ‘living showroom’ will provide a sneak preview of the future of Smarter Working.
Royal Ahrend will move to the new Flagship showroom at Laarderhoogtweg in Amsterdam in mid-2014.
