Passenger Transport
We have implemented a leasing policy to encourage colleagues to choose electric vehicles. Working from home also helps to reduce unnecessary travel. The cycling scheme and mobility allowance encourage colleagues to opt for alternative means of transport instead of using a car.
Service Vans
Over the coming years, our fleet will be gradually replaced with electric vans. In 2023, we introduced the first EV vans, and now around 30% of our service engineers drive fully electric vehicles. This will be further expanded in the coming years.
Lorries
Our ambition is to deliver to all customers in the Benelux with zero emissions by 2030. To achieve this, we invest annually in expanding the number of electric trucks in our fleet. Together with our transport partners, we are establishing an agreement. Our goal is to reduce CO2 emissions from customer deliveries worldwide by 60% by 2030 compared to 2018 levels.
In almost every production process, water, energy, packaging, transport, and waste are involved – and the making of our furniture is no exception. To minimise the impact on the planet, we manufacture in a responsible way.
We calculate the total CO2 footprint of our product portfolio.
Through a closed-loop return system with our suppliers, we have significantly reduced wood waste in recent years. Wood waste is now directly recycled into new chipboard in collaboration with our suppliers.
