Ahrend has been a partner of the Yearbook of Czech Architecture since its inception

Since 1999, the Czech Architecture Yearbook has been one of the publications mapping the most interesting developments on the Czech architectural scene. Since its inception, the Yearbook of Czech Architecture has been supported by Ahrend as a partner.

Ahrend has long been committed to promoting high-quality architecture. This year marks the publication of its 26th volume, covering the period 2024–2025, and it also opens a new chapter in its history: for the first time, it is being published by ARCHIZOOM BOOKS.

The Yearbook crosses borders

The editor of this year’s edition is architect Jan Schindler of Schindler Seko Architects. As in previous years, the Yearbook is not simply a catalogue of buildings, but a curated perspective on the current direction of Czech architecture.

This year’s Yearbook also aims to reach international readers. The publication is being released in a Czech-English edition and will also be presented at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Czech architecture will thus have an opportunity to present itself in a broader European context.

Yearbook launch attended by Eva Jiřičná and Daniel Libeskind

The official launch took place on 10 June at Invalidovna in Prague, linked to the opening of the Rohan Design District festival. The event was supported by leading figures in world architecture, Eva Jiřičná and Daniel Libeskind. This year’s edition is also accompanied by a travelling exhibition, which will present selected projects to a wider audience.
